TERQUIMCA began with its constitution in April 1987 under the name of "TERMINALES QUIMICOS DE PUERTO CABELLO, C.A." As a solution to the growing demand for specialized terminals for the unloading, storage and management of hazardous substances and dangerous goods. Terquimca converted a vacant lot assigned by the Ministry of Defense of the Venezuelan government without any type of building into a specialized terminal for the handling of chemical products, made up of more than 55 tanks of different volumes, from 200 m3 to 3000 m3, in its majority of carbon steel and three of stainless steel, with a heating or cooling system to handle specific products and with dedicated lines to a pumping room and from this point to the dock with a battery of 12 lines of different diameters (with a length of 300 meters). The excellent location of its terminals with a private unloading port and a service of the highest level, allowed Terquimca to position itself as the first company in the sector receiving more than 80% of the chemical products that entered Venezuela through its port, handling more than 120 vessels a year.

After more than 30 years of operating in the market and becoming a internationally renowned company for the storage and management of hazardous substances & dangerous goods, TERQUIMCA looks towards new horizons with the aim of reforming the company's legacy from its foundations, with special emphasis on environmental solutions for the energy sector. Therefore, in 2019 after a major economic depression in the country that resulted in a decrease in imports, TERQUIMCA'S board made the decision to expand its operations to the development and execution of environmental projects with a focus on sanitation and conservation of different natural areas and resources of the continent.
